Product description
The 7571 screw is a long, self-tapping bi-metal screw designed for fixing sandwich panels to a steel substructure. With its No. 2 drill point, it is designed for use with steel beams from 1.5 to 4 mm thick and is available in a range of lengths from 70 to 195 mm. This allows you to select the right screw for any panel thickness.

for fixing sandwich panels to a steel substructure
Drilling capacity ∑ ≤ 5.0 mm / in; tested and approved 1.5 – 4.0 mm
Typical applications
The 7571 screw is used wherever sandwich panels are to be fixed to a steel structure of medium thickness. Typical applications include:
- Fixing roof and wall panels to steel beams of 1.5 to 4 mm
- Installation of sandwich panels of varying thicknesses
- Use on walls and roofs
- Outdoor applications and indoor areas with high humidity
The screw is designed as an A2 self-tapping bi-metal screw with a hexagonal head (SW 8), a support thread and a No. 2 drill point, with an A2 sealing washer and a thread diameter of 5.5 mm. It is available in lengths of 70, 85, 110, 125, 145, 175 and 195 mm and is approved for steel thicknesses of 1.5 to 4 mm. For roof applications, it is approved with or without a cap.
When should you choose this screw?
The 7571 screw is the right choice for fixing sandwich panels to steel beams with a thickness of 1.5 to 4 mm. If the beam is thicker, the 7570 screw with No. 3 drill point is suitable for steel up to 5 mm. If the supporting structure is made of timber, the 7565 screw is intended for use. The length depends on the panel thickness: As a guide, the 70 mm screw covers panels from approximately 26 to 46 mm, the 110 mm screw from 56 to 86 mm, and the 175 mm screw from 96 to 151 mm. You can find an overview of all screws in the ‘Screws’ category.
Compatible products
The 7571 screw is used in conjunction with sandwich panels. Suitable products:
- Roof panels, such as the 60 mm roof panel: Sandwich panels – Roof.
- Wall panels, such as the 80 mm wall panel: Sandwich panels – wall.
- Screw 7570 for heavier steel beams and screw 7565 for timber: Screw 7570.

Frequently asked questions
How does the 7571 screw differ from the 7570?
Both are long panel screws for steel. The 7571 has a No. 2 drill point and is designed for steel from 1.5 to 4 mm, whilst the 7570 screw has a No. 3 drill point and is suitable for steel up to 5 mm. The choice depends on the thickness of the substrate.
What screw length do I need for my panel?
The length depends on the panel thickness. As a rough guide, the 70 mm screw covers panels from 26 to 46 mm, the 110 mm screw from 56 to 86 mm and the 175 mm screw from 96 to 151 mm. We’d be happy to help you determine the correct length.
What steel thickness is the screw suitable for?
The 7571 screw is approved for steel thicknesses of 1.5 to 4 mm; its tested drilling capacity extends up to 5 mm. For thicker beams, we recommend the 7570 screw.
Is the screw suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. As a bi-metal screw, it is suitable for outdoor applications and for indoor areas with high humidity. On roofs, it is approved for use with or without a cap.
